Who we are

FirstLiner (the Chrome extension and the website firstliner.app) is operated by Marut Marutyan, an individual based inYerevan, Armenia ("we", "us"). We decide how the personal data described here is used and are its controller. Questions and requests: support@firstliner.app.

In short

• FirstLiner reads only what is visible on the LinkedIn profile you have open, and sends it to our server only when you press Generate.
• We use that text to write three draft messages for you. We do not build a database of people, enrich contacts, sell data or show ads.
• Profile text is deleted after 24 hours; drafts are deleted after 90 days.
• FirstLiner never sends messages and never clicks anything on LinkedIn.

Data about you (our users)

• Account: your email address and sign-in identifiers (a one-time email code or Google sign-in).
• Plan and billing status: your plan (Free or Pro) and the Paddle subscription ID. Card and payment details are collected by Paddle, not by us.
• Usage records: when you generate or insert a draft and how much AI text it used, to apply plan limits and prevent abuse.
• Drafts: the three messages written for you, the tone, which one you inserted, and the name of the person they were written for. Pro users see the last 10 as history.
• Data kept in your browser: your sign-in session, an anonymous install ID, your goal text and settings. They stay in Chrome's extension storage on your device.
• Product analytics: event names such as install, generate, insert and upgrade, linked to your user ID or install ID. No profile text is included.
• Technical data: IP address and request details that our hosting provider processes to deliver and protect the service.

Data about the people whose profiles you open

While the FirstLiner panel is open on a LinkedIn or Sales Navigator profile, the extension reads the text visible on that page to show it to you: name, headline, company, the About section and up to three recent posts. It is sent to our server only when you press Generate. This information was published by that person on a professional network. We use it for one purpose: to write draft first messages for you. We do not use it to contact the person, combine it with other sources, profile them or share it with anyone except the AI provider that writes the drafts.

The profile text is kept for up to 24 hours so that repeated requests for the same profile are fast, then deleted automatically. The person's name stays with your drafts for up to 90 days. If you are such a person and want us to delete what we hold about you, or object to this processing, write to support@firstliner.app.

Why we use data and on what legal basis

• To provide the service you asked for (account, drafts, history, plan): performance of our contract with you.
• To apply plan limits, prevent abuse and keep the service secure: our legitimate interests.
• To process the visible profile text of people you write to: legitimate interests (yours and ours) in personal professional communication, balanced by reading only public professional information, using it for drafts only and keeping it for a short time.
• To understand which features are used (aggregate product analytics): our legitimate interests.
• Billing, tax and accounting: handled by Paddle as merchant of record; we keep records required by law.

We do not sell personal data, do not use it for advertising and do not use it to train AI models.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

The use of information received from the FirstLiner extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use it only to provide and improve FirstLiner's single purpose, writing message drafts. We do not sell it, do not transfer it except as described in this policy, do not use it for purposes unrelated to that purpose, and do not use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending.

Service providers

We share data only with providers that process it on our behalf to run FirstLiner:

• Cloudflare: hosting of our server and website, network security.
• Supabase: database and sign-in.
• Anthropic: AI that writes the drafts. It receives the profile text, your goal and the tone. Under Anthropic's commercial terms this data is not used to train its models.
• Google: delivery of sign-in code emails and, if you choose it, Google sign-in.
• PostHog: product analytics (event names only).
• Paddle: checkout, payments, tax and invoices. Paddle is the merchant of record and processes payment data under its own privacy policy.

International transfers

Our providers may process data in the United States, the European Union and other countries. Where data from the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland is transferred, we rely on the providers' safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep data

• Profile text read from a page: up to 24 hours.
• Drafts and the name they were written for: 90 days.
• Account, plan and usage records: while your account exists; deleted when you delete your account.
• Billing records: kept by Paddle as required by tax law.
• Technical logs at our hosting provider: short-term, for security and troubleshooting.

Security

Traffic is encrypted (HTTPS). All service keys are kept on our server, never in the extension. The database is closed to public access and reachable only by our server.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, California law or the Law of the Republic of Armenia on Protection of Personal Data), you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. Write to support@firstliner.appfrom the email linked to your account; we answer within 30 days. To delete your account, send the same request. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live. We do not sell or share personal data for cross-context advertising and do not treat you differently for using your rights.

Children

FirstLiner is a business tool for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We publish changes on this page and update the date above. If a change is significant, we will also tell you by email or in the extension before it applies.
